THE JAILATHON IS OVER! THANKS TO ALL WHO PLEDGED!
Total Days in Jail: 21
Total Money Raised: $1,459.50
In September 2006, heiress Paris Hilton was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Hilton's driver’s license was subsequently suspended,
and in January 2007 she pled no contest to the
alcohol-related reckless driving charge. On February
27, 2007 Hilton was caught driving 70 MPH in a 35 MPH
zone with a suspended license. Hilton was sentenced
to 45 days in jail for violating her probation, and
she is required to begin her jail term June 5, 2007.

The Paris Hilton Jailathon is an independently run
charity fundraising project. The idea behind this
site is simple: Those who wish to make a positive
difference in the world may pledge “x” amount of
dollars per day that Paris Hilton serves in jail to
any charitable cause of their choice. Large or small,
the amount of money you pledge does not matter as much
as your proactive choice to help others in need.
To make your pledge, simply click on the “Pledge Here”
link located above. No money will be collected
by this site. If for whatever reason a pledger
decides not to donate after the Jailathon is over,
they will incur no penalty. However, we sincerely
hope this is not a common occurrence. When Paris
Hilton is released from jail, an e-mail will be sent
to all who pledged, reminding them to mail their
donation check directly to the charitable organization
they selected.
The Paris Hilton Jailathon hopes to prove once and for
all that the world really is a better place with Paris
Hilton behind bars. |
